Inside layer of the shell is polished showing a rainbow of colors and the outside is natural.

Pictures are example, some could be more rainbowed than other.. pulled at random.

Although there is a dark spot in the middle where the mollusk was attached.
Also, some of the shells may be a rough / chipped around the edges. The outside part of the shell has a crusty cortex.

Know as a Green Abalone Shell.
Apx length 5" to 6" x width 4-1/2" x 2" Deep.
