Antique Tiffin Glass Duck On Nest Covered Dish Caramel Slag Milk Glass 1932 -1940 Era

Made by the ( U.S. Glass Co. ) Tiffin Glass Company between the 1932 and 1940. 

Overall the duck on a nest is apx 5-1/8" tall x 6" Wide x 8-1/2" length.

If  it wasn't for both glass eyes missing and one tiny flea bite chip in edge of one of the ripples on the nest ( hard to see, but you can feel one ), This item would be in Excellent Antique condition for the items age. Other than this,  Can not feel , see or find chips with the upper duck or lower nest glass bowl inside or out.  There is no makers mark on either piece.  (Apparently it is a very common problem that the glass eyes fall out and come up missing over time ).

The underneath left side of the tail has the famous rectangular mold mark in the glass from when

( U.S. Glass Co. ) Tiffin Glass Company made a repair to the mold after they purchased it in 1932.

There are two pieces , the duck lid and nest bottom. This antique glass covered dish features Caramel Slag Milk glass duck with detailed feathers sitting on her nest, Making it a unique addition to any duck or farm collectibles collection. The dish is made of slag milk glass. It can be used as a decorative piece or as a functional dish for storing small items.
