This set is in excellent condition. It has no chips, cracks, repairs or any other signs of wear, or crazing. The gold gilt is in wonderful condition.” The makers mark is on the bottom of both.
This creamer and lidded sugar bowl set is part of the Violet Chintz Collection by Lefton, made in Japan. These footed items are hand painted with purple violets and green leaves all over outside, white background, with gold trim around scalloped edges and handles. The creamer is aprox. 2-3/8" tall / top of spout x 4-1/4" wide from spout lip to handle and 3" side to side. The sugar bowl with lid is aprox. 2-7/8" tall tall to top of knob on lid x 5-1/4" wide handle to handle & 3-1/8" across. The gold gilt is still in nice shape and shows no signs of wear. Both pieces are printed with Lefton China, Hand Painted, The Lefton China crest, and "NE 663V.
